Early Childhood Anesthesia Linked to Problems with Language, Memory

Anesthesiologist Dr. Caleb Ing conducted a study that concluded that 87 percent of children who underwent anesthesia multiple times before age 3 demonstrate language disabilities. The study also emphasized that anesthesia did not affect all parts of the brain evenly but instead impacted the development of language and abstract reasoning most.
